"Objects in motion tend to stay in motion, objects at rest tend to stay at rest."

Newton's Law can be used to describe people as well. Once a person has taken time off from training, it is becomes more and more difficult to find the motivation to return to train. Time goes by and the longer a person waits, the further they fall behind. If you have taken time off from training because of an injury, personal, or financial problems, make your best effort to return to training as soon as physically possible. Every second that goes by is a second you could be getting better and exploring your passion for martial arts.

It is the weakness of the body that lets one fall...but it is the weakness of spirit that prevents one from standing again.

A black belt is only a white belt that never gave up. Are you a step closer to black belt or a step closer to giving up?

I like to think I am one step closer to my black belt every day. Even though I recently tried a move that I shouldn't have and hurt my knee, I am still reading, watching video, going over techniques in my head. Giving up is not an option. I have given up on too many things over my life time. I will not do it again! 8-)
